I want a closer relationship with God for a better life, mature advice?

I've been praying for things to work out for me. Im in Afghanistan, I was supposed to get married next month. The most important vacation of my life got changed. The bastards changed my vacation dates. Now I have to cancel everything. I've been praying and praying but things seem to get worse for me. Please help, God? Saints? Angels? People of earth??I want a closer relationship with God for a better life, mature advice?
i know it sounds cliche, but hold in there and never stop praying. and about your wedding, look at is this way: for all the trials that God is putting on your relationship, He is making it that much stronger. your marriage is going to be Divinely blessed, but you cannot stop keeping the faith and knowing that everything happens for a reason. this too shall pass. you will make it through and be soooo much stronger in the end.
