When a long term relationship ends, and you have happened to spend alot (i mean like $2000) on that person over the time that you were together, and when the relationship ended, he offered to pay that money back to you, would you accept it or tell him no, that he shouldn't have to pay you back? If you gave him gifts then he doesn't need to repay you. It is a nice gesture on his part though. If you lent him money or bought things because he asked you to then he should pay you back.
