I need some love/Relationship advice.?

About a week ago, I was thinking about inviting my friend who I haven't seen since school to the movies. I kind of like him and a week ago I thought we could just go as friends. His girlfriend just broke up with him on Thursday. If I go with him to the movies, do you think he will think its a date?

He might be moving in August, so I want to spend as much time as I can with him. Should I still ask him? Should I wait a week?

If he does say he can go to the movies, what do people do? I mean when friends go to the movies they're obnoxious to each other and just talk amongst themselves about the movie. Any thought?

But what keeps me wanting to ask him is this quote which runs through my mind:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Haha, you know, that's a really good quote. You actually helped me out with that quote with some stuff that's going on in my life right now!

So, this is what I'm going to say to you: I think you should ask him. You can still go as friends to keep things from being awkward. I think just being able to see him would be a good thing, especially if you think he's moving soon. Seeing him might give you a feel for where he is with things, and you could also arrange to meet again if it goes well. I say, go for it! Best of luck to you! =D
